Compact VS Ultra Compact Grips.....
I have been inquiring from different vendors without much success.
I understand Compact Grips have their center hole to center hole measurement at 2-5/8 inches.
The Springfield Ultra Compact center hole to center hole measurement is 2-6/8 (2-3/4) inches. An eighth of an inch longer.
Just purchased this gun from a very reliable Sporting Goods in Albuquerque. Wanted to spruce it up a bit with some maybe Ivory sims logos ??? Grips are plain Micarta? checkered with no logos.
Springfield tell me that it was made in Jul 2004. Springfield Ultra Compact Mil Spec .45 1911. Sure fits my hand nice.
