Welcome to the forum. Regarding your question, I don't think Colt makes anything in a "chrome" model these days. They do however make an Ultimate Bright Stainless model that looks like chrome, but it is only made in .38 Super and it is a Custom Shop gun. It sells for about $1000 in the North Texas area. You can buy a .45 in brushed stainless steel...either an 80 Series gun (Government Model or Commander) or a stainless 70 Series Repro model. They also make some other enhanced models in brushed stainless in .45 ACP. If you will give Colt a call, they will send you a great looking catalog with all their products and services listed and you can make your choice from that. You can check this forum out for lots of photos and information on the various models. Again, WELCOME.
This is an Ultimate Bright Stainless Model in .45 ACP that is sometimes mistaken for chrome. It is not being made anymore.

The Special Combat Government Model is available in hard chrome. It's not polished bright all over like the Ultimate guns, but it has adjustable sights, and a few more bells & whistles.

I'm a real sucker for shiney 1911s even though they aren't real popular these days. I'm currently negotiating with a friend of mine for a series 70 factory bright nickel. You could always buy a Colt and have it Nickel plated or Chromed or like the beauty above you can buy a stainless and have it polished.
