Congrats on the new Colt :)
Is it a lightweight Commander or Combat Commander? I have twin Combat Commanders and they are great, usually carry one or the other. I also switched out the mainspring housings, plus installed short triggers and extended thumb safeties.
Post a pic when you get it :D

Congrats on the new Commander!! I just got one about a week ago. I'm pretty sure it would be considered a lightweight, cause it has an alloy frame. The guys here told me it was built in 1976. It will be my carry weapon when I get my permit. There is a thread here about it a few posts back with pics of it. You better have pics when you get yours!!

I just bought a new XSE Colt lightweight Commander and qualified with it this week. I had just qualified with my issued Sig 229 and then qualified with the Colt and it shot so much better than the Sig. I shot a 98 with both but the group was 50% tighter with the Colt.
