My two favorite "carry" Colts are the Colt Gunsite CCO & Pre 80 series commander. Top my favorite two for collecting is a bit harder. I'd have to put three on my list: a USGI from WW2, a 1924 transition, and a 1927 Super .38.

I've looked at a lot, but only own 1. I carry it every day so I guess it's my top choice in both categories. XSE SS Gov't Model.

I am really intrigued by the CCO, which I believe stands for Concealed Carry Officer's. I would really like to touch one, a Gunsite version in particular.

I know you just wanted 2, but could not resist the temptation. I like my blued M1991A1 Government, blue Gunsite Government, .38 Super 60's vintage, blue series 70 Gold Cup NM, reproduction WWI w/wmk serial number, blue Gold Cup Trophy (flat top slide) series 80, blue Gunsite CCO, original blue series 70 Government, the stainless XSE Commander, blue Officers, new model stainless Officers, in that order. Also, if you care to know, I've named all of them. Am I beyond help?

I have a couple of Series 70 pistols of current production, but those are both shooters, and not part of a "collection".

List your favorite or top 2 Colt ACP Pistols to carry and your top 4 Colt ACP Pistols if you were starting a collection.Man... that's a tough call. I love them all, but my favorite Colts are probably the 50's-vintage Government models followed by 70's-vintage Combat Commanders.

I carry them and collect them. A little holster wear only adds character.

I'm glad you didn't ask about favorite caliber too. That would've really thrown me into quandry.

I put the qotation marks around carry because technically all Colts carry great. In fact I mostly carry a steel government size these days instead of the alloy framed pistols.
