Gentlemen,
I have a Colt 1911 ser # 260314 (1918 vintage) which appears to have been arsenal reconditioned for WW II service.

What would be approximate value in today's market for this variation.

I can send photos for appraisal and examination.

Thanks,
Joe V.

Joe,
It is very difficult to assign a value to a pistol based on a limited description. Pictures are a must. All will depend on condition, correctness and originality.

Like Scott said.... pictures, pictures, pictures.

Its kinda like getting a haircut over the phone.... I can throw out a number, but who knows what it will look like !!!!!!

It appears since I am a brand new member I am not allowed to post photos...?

Unless I can send them to another member and they can post for me...?

Thanks,
Joe V.

Hi joe. I don't believe there are any restrictions on new members for posting pictures. From the home page look in the uper left hand corner and you will see FAQ (frequently asked questions) click on that, then scroll down and you will see the question "HOW DO I INCLUDE PICTURES IN MY THREAD?" Just click on that, and it will walk you threw the process. You'll have to join a free site such as photobucket, or one similar to host your pictures, but it's no big deal.

Good luck, and enjoy your colt!
