I really didn't do anything to it but wipe it down and snap the photo. Honest. I think what is going on is the regret that inevitably always sets in once a move such as this is made.

Maybe it is the Colt pocket knife that Mark Roberts gave me that is enhancing the pistol.

*Edit* I forgot to post. I really am pleased with the pistol. It is exactly as described. I am truly impressed with it's overall build quality. I haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet but based on how tight it is. I'm sure it is a great shooter.

Thank you. I'm slowly getting my hands on his collection. I've been told that this is the last Colt that is gonna leave his safe though :( .

While this pistol is not built like a Baer it is quite remarkable. I'd say it reminds me very very closely to how a Brown is put together. The beautifulness that browns have isn't necessarily in this pistol. It is just fitted and built like a Brown in contrast to how Les builds his guns.

Thank you Dave. I like doing business with Dan. He is straight forward and to the point. That is pretty funny with the benedict arnold pun. A little harsh; but funny. Him trading this one off really isn't that strange to me. You know how he feels about the enhanced model Colts. While I tend to agree with him; I do like this one a lot.

Nice Colt Justin, when will you get a chance to try it out?

Thank you Hunter. I don't know when I'll get a chance to take it for a test drive. I have a touch of the flu. I went an got a steroid shot within the first 24 hours but I'm still running a low fever off and on, coughing, and stuffy head. As soon as I feel better though. I'll give an update.

Thank you. I believe I did well. This is definately one of my favorite Colts. I can't really decide between this one and my M1991A1 Limited Class Model. I think sellers remorse is inevitable for any of us when we sell a Colt. I know I do.

Thank you John. I think the button your looking for is right next to the warning button for not recognizing the El Commandante on the telephone.

Nothing in Dan's safe is sacred. It's all for sale, if you offer the correct number of dollars to him. ;) When will you shoot your Gunsite Pistol? I hope it's soon, because you have a touch of Dan in you, if someone comes up with a coupe of bux, this one'll be taking a another road trip. :D

Gee Justin, John calls you? The only person I get calls from is Dan and you should hear the messages he leaves me...... :scared:

While I don't expect the Gunsite to be taking a permanent road trip from my safe anytime soon; but you never know what deal will come along. Dave, please don't tell me your one of those people that think of their pistols as more than inanimate objects.

Actually, Hunter called me. John just happened to be with Hunter because of shot.

I'll won't sell any of my inhereted guns either. Fortuneatly, I haven't inhereted any yet.

Hmmmm. I'm the only firearms collector in my family and I have no idea what happened to my Fathers WW2 1911 or his S&W29. I'm with ya on that, I wouldn't have sold those if someone would have made sure they found their way to me. It's been a few years now and I'm still annoyed with that.

Justin, did you shoot that Gunsite Pistol yet? I'm anxious to hear how well she shoots. I had a blue one that was dead on. One of my boys has it now. It's actually the only pistol I bought and don't still own.

That is a real shame about your Dad's guns. I feal for you on that. No I haven't had a chance to shoot the Gunsite yet. I've pretty much been staying in bed for the last two days. Tonight is the first time I came back to work. I feel quite a bit better. A little weak still but ok I guess. I'll have this pistol shot in a day or two I'm sure.

Thank you Ajax. Hopefully I'll get to try it out later this morning when I get off work. I'm contemplating picking up a hard chrome one I found in a gun shop.
