I have purchased a Colt ser. # 202,xxx for $500.This poor thing has been brutally sanded and polished all of the lettering is off the slide and us property off the frame.

With some pics it'd be easier to see how damaged it is. it there's enough metal left, folks like Doug Turnbull's company can work magic with finish and rollmarks/stampings if you have a specimen worth the expense of restoration.

If not, inspect it well, put in some fresh springs and make it a shooter if it passes a close-up once over…

Paul, Bricktop is in Uruguay. I don't think he'll be able to send the pistol to Turnbull.

hey guys i would post pics of the fallen soldier but my camera stinks.you can see it on gunsamerica colt 1911/1917 project pistol 994843124. once i got it its not so bad .it is still rather tight and cycles hollowpoints.i love beatup war pistols

I love the sellers story. It is never anything but blood that rusts them.

the clip is two toned of course,but has a rusty hand print on the right side .would like to know full story if theres one.
