I'm looking at replacing my OACP grip safety and just noticed the beavertail on the CCO. It looks shorter than most (Wilson, Brown, etc) which I would prefer for carry. Is that something I can get from Colt? Brownells doesn't sell that particular part.

It is made by smith and alexander. Nothing to special about it. Not shorter that I can tell than my other pieces if I compare them.

Which CCO? The Gunsite had a S&A, but the older ones had a Caspian. Caspian now makes their beavertails with either a .250" radius, or the old Wilson compound radius, and Colt used the latter. If you are going to cut the frame to fit, you can use any of them.
