I've acquired a new-to-me Series 70, and Im thinking I'd like to have a Trijicon front sight installed, but what then about the rears? Do the new Colt high-profile irons work with a Trijicon front?

I know about Yost-Bonitz Retro, the Novaks they put on the MEUSOC, etc. but I'd prefer to keep as close to a Colt blade as possible. I was trying to determine if the Colt high-profile sights or the rear blade of the King's Hardball set would be of compatible height with a Trijicon front, but I can't make heads or tails of the various measurements on the internuts.

Some background -

This gun is a late 70's Colt Series 70, which I got at a pretty good price because the first owner was apparently not the sharpest tool in the shed. Thankfully they left my gun's internals un-porked, but they did manage to blemish the slide on the left side, and evidently they tried to take out the rear sights the wrong way, judging by how the rear sights are a millimeter off-center to the left, the right side of the sights are banged up, and the slide around the sights on both sides is lightly nicked from the punch they were using (I'm thinking they wanted to change rear sights, couldn't get it out from right to left, damaged the sight, realized they had knocked it leftwards and tried to put it back into center going the other way, screwed that up, and then gave up after they couldn't make any headway).

Happily they quit tinkering and put the gun in a drawer somewhere after maybe shooting it once, judging by the condition of the rest of the gun. Unhappily, this leaves me with dinged-up, off-center rear sights. Hence, my questions.

Thanks for any guidance.
