I believe '92ish and up enhanced Officers got the black wraparounds. CDNN has very nice checkered wood ones with gold or silver medallions. I got those as I dislike rubber and wraparounds.

I believe if it's 'Enhanced' it will have an E after the s/n. My OACP is stainless, 1994 and came with the rubber grips w/silver emblem.
Copied this off a web site a while back. Not sure of the accuracy but looks good.
Here's what the Enhanced Versions had right from the factory:
-Lightweight skeletonized hammer
-Gold Cup slanted cocking serrations
-Finger relief cut under trigger guard
-Flat topped (ribbed) slide
-Beveled magazine well
-Beaver tail grip safety
-Black nylon extended trigger
-Throated barrel
-Cutaway and flared ejection port
-Colt rubber wrap around grips by 'Radical Grips' (slim)

I purchased an officers enhanced light weight in 1992 and it came with the black wrap around grips as you describe. I would say they are original.

The grips that came on my Officers 45, bought new in 1984, were checkered walnut with gold Colt medallions.

A big thanks to all.I appreciate it,the info and the pics help. but they bring up more questions.the grips in the pics are not pachmyer. and mine are. Im pretty sure now that its not enhanced.no E at the end of ser#. the hammer is not lightened it just has the hole in it.the MSH has vertical lines in it. some pics looked smooth. to my old eyes any way.could be the angle of pic.
thanks everyone, maybe its an early one ser#FA263## who knows what they put on them.BUT did they ever put pachmyers on from colt? also has a stainless front sight and blue rear.(3 dot) standard?
thanks.

The enhanced had a flat top slide. My enhanced has the wrap around Colt rubber grips and it was NIB.
