Finally got around to making a trip to the range again, wife went along this time.

She shot a .22 model 622 smith the whole time and improved nicely for her first time ever shooting.

Getting back on track. I bought these three pieces over the last year or so and only had time to shoot the officers before this.

Out of the three the Pocketnine would make a nice ragged section at 40ft but not as tight as the other two. I was hesitant to buy it since I am not a DAO guy but it serves the purpose it was built for and that is close up. Was worth the money I spent.

The XS officers was very accurate and the best of the bunch for me and my eyes. No complaints here fit finish and quality was top notch. Worth the money I spent.

The CCO Gunsite was a nice piece as well. Personally my favorite in looks and shooting but could do without the front cocking serrations. The sights could be better with a gold dot or marking on the front but it did not harm the accuracy. Nice piece as well if you can get your hands on one.

Over pleased with colts again. No malfunctions on any of them with ball or JHP's from any maker i put through them. Limp wristed shots out of the two .45's as well ran fine too.

The only malfunction I had was the .22 from her since it was running dirty, some spray lube saved the day besides a split case later in the session that I had to get out. Never had the happen before.

These make me want to sell my springfield champ since it just sat there any only received one mags worth of ammo. Nothing wrong with it but the colts just draw me in as we all know.

Sounds like a good day at the range and your other half was in on the fun!

Sounds like 3 real nice Colts! I have looked at 2 different PocketNines the last 3 or so years, but never got one......kinda sorry bout that.

Sure sounds like you had a good time! That's what a range day should be like!

Best of Luck!

My Pocket Nine is pretty good stuff.

I sure wish Colt would have come up with a better idea for the grip panels. The oversize soft rubber grip is kinda contrary to Pocket use.

Hakan Pek makes a wooden set though.

lj973gm - how about some pictures of the OACP XS. Is it a lightweight model? Don't see too many of them. Here's mine. Dennis

Here you go. Have not taken any yet of the CCO or pocketnine. Pic is pretty back and makes it look old n dirty but is was unfired when I go it. Same for the CCO that was NIB as well.

Nice! I've only seen a couple others besides mine. Colt said the were only made fo about a year. 1999 I think. I would probably sell or trade something to get a matching Commander. Dennis
