It's just another hangout spot for Colt owners. Doesn't mean you have to join Facebook if you don't feel comfortable doing so.
I was talking about this group here:

It's not a matter of comfort! It just doesn't make sense to me to draw folks away from this site, to spend time discussing Colt firearms on another site. In fact, out of respect for the Owner, Administrator, and Moderators who all work so hard making this such a great site. And, all the great members I have meet in here, I will decline to participate, even if I did not have to join and give my personal imformation!
Best of Luck!

A lot of folks are already on Facebook and spend a lof of time there anyway so I'm sure a Colt group on Facebook won't take away from this site at all.
Thanks,

No need to be afraid ! It's an invitation, that's all. When I get an invitation to something I either politely accept or decline without further comment. As for this site; it will stand or it's merits or it won't.
Have a nice day !

You are confusing "respect", the word I utilized, and "afraid". The "No need to be afraid!" sounds like school yard banter. If one desires to decline an invitation and state the reason for declining, that is their personal choice. Implying that stating a reason is impolite, because you never do, and redefining the word "respect" to "afraid", is not polite in itself.
freedom of speech.
I can only assume you are referring to foul and abusive language and or political content. If facebook fits your needs, by all means join!
Best of Luck!
