Pawn shop 1911A1

just saw a 1911A1 at the pawn shop serial # 1899303. i did not inspect this gun but it is a medium park green that looks allmost 100 percent and has a blued barrel that has at least 60 percent wear when viewing it with the slide closed. they want $850.00. do you think there should be more wear on the park because of what the barrel looks like. what else do i look for

Not necessarily. The barrel hood is the first thing to show wear and will show it within a few rounds. $850 is a good price for an all-G.I. pistol, even if it is a rebuild. If it has been refinished after leaving government service, that would have to be a deduction. I'd have to see it or good pictures to tell. It sounds okay so far, but there's a lot more to find out.
