I'm fixin' to order an EGW oversized FPS for my new CBOB. I did a test the other day with one I had fit to my Champion and switched them back and forth on the CBOB and liked what the EGW stop did for the CBOB. I've sold the Champion and the EGW stop goes with that gun so I'm going to order one for the CBOB.

While I'm at it, I'm wondering if I should order another one for my STI Trojan 9mm. I read the extensive thread on the stop but don't remember anyone mentioning it for 9mm. Now, the Trojan is a soft shooting plate gun (with my reduced loads) but, being an older and slower guy, I'm looking for to any advantage I can get when competing against the youngsters in our group. I came in second last Sunday against a danged nice kid who's a heck of a shot with his Glock and would like to do better :D .

So, would there be any benefit with the EGW FPS on my Trojan.

Well as a shot in the dark (its ok, i have night sites) it could reduce muzzle flip a bit. I would make sure it functions reliably before a match, may have to drop to a lighter recoil spring. To be sure its doubtful it would hurt anything. I think i would be very beneficial in a 9mm. My reasoning being 9mm ammunition runs at higher pressure than 45, and generates less momentum in the slide (requiring lighter recoil spring to ensure full cycle), therefore anything that would hold the slide at full lock up longer but not affect it after that point is good.
