We found this pistol when we moved my mother in-law to her new house. According to the serial number (1333654) I guess it was built in 1943. It has a different rear site then I've seen on other pistols. Apparently, you can line up a white dot on the end of the barrel between 2 white dots on the read site. It comes with a black holster.
What is the best way to find the fair market value, the best way to sell it and clean/restore it? Many thanks in advance.

Have you checked the barrel for caliber number? if its a 45, then the sight has been changed. If it is set up for 22 cal, then you have a conversion kit. The mags also state the cal # on the bottom.

The sights are replacements, I had a rear like that about 15 years ago.
If the front sight is staked into the original mortise, then you could get the gun back to GI configuration... if you could find correct sights for 1943.
The gun appears to be in nice condition, there is no "restoration" to be done other than looking for military sights. Good luck.

We found this pistol when we moved my mother in-law to her new house.
Was it among your mother-in-law's things when you helped her move, or was it at the house she moved into?
Can you get some pictures of the other side of the pistol, too?

It was at her old house before she moved. Yes, I'll post other pics when I can.
