According to the Blue Book of Gun Values-
"Pre-war variations are serialized below approx. 37,000."
"The 2nd Model may be differentiated by noticing the heavier barrel and Rampant Colt on right side.
The 3rd Model has a fat barrel with Rampant Colt on left side.
The 4th Model has a thin barrel and Rampant Colt on left side."
My question is, what year did Colt switch to the 4th model thin barrel?
I'm wanting to buy a 1957 Super but can't tell from the photo if it's a 3rd or 4th model.

Ok, the gunbroker forum was able to answer my question earlier today.
I withdraw the question from this forum.
