A few days with my new baby - S&W 1911 Sc.
Day 1. Home, proper cleaning.
Day 2. Range. 250 rounds all 230 grain Winchester, some JHP some FMJ. Nary a hiccup and nary a complaint from papa. Exceptional accuracy, at least for someone of my limited skills. Home for a nice cleaning.
Day 3. Range. 150 rounds, same ammo breakdown.
Day 4. Ditto.
I don't want to make anyone envious, but I have almost unlimited access to the local outdoor range, and I plan to use it until I develop a bad case of I can no longer hear the wife. On a serious note, I am considering a set of Hogue fingered wrap-around rubber grips for range use. At less than $20.00 I don't see it as a big risk, but I am interested in any feedback from those of you who have used them. By the way John, pictures to follow soon.
