Hi. This is my first post, so excuse me if I make any mistake. A friend of mine has to sell his guns. He has a minty Sistema with Argentine Air Force markings and all three magazines with the same number as the pistol. He also has the original Air Force issue holster. I will buy it off him, because he really needs the money, but I have no idea of its approximate value. A sistema shooter in good conditions is worth about $300 here, but I know that the Air Force guns go higher. Can anybody help?

The last batch of Sistemas that came into this country were in horrible condition -- virtually NO finish remaining, maybe 30% guns -- and they were selling for about $275 to $300, I think. You might find a few Sistemas listed on GunsAmerica, Gunbroker.com, or Auction Arms to give you a better idea of the current pricing.
For a "minty" Air Force Sistema, with holster and matching magazines, I would estimate the price here in the U.S. at between $600 and $800.

The USA prices would be higher than the prices in your country. As Hawkmoon points out, a 30% gun could fetch up to $300 here. If the Sistema's in good condition are worth $300 in your country, I would add a premium of $75 to $100 for the Air Force Model.
Best of Luck!

Thank you Hawkmoon and Rich-D for your info. I believe I will offer him a sum midway between the prices you advise. As regards the condition of the guns imported into the U.S. I guess they are now scraping the bottom of the barrel. Most guns you find here, that have found their way into civilian hands have been "customized" by shade tree "gunsmiths". Minty guns are scarce indeed. Good Mauser rifles have also vanished from the scene.
