My First Colt! 1911 Series 80 SS 5"

I actually passed on this pistol a few months ago to grab the Taurus PT-1911 SS. Well, it was too good a deal to pass on all together, so I grabbed it today! It's owner ironically(or former owner) is one of the main people who got me in to shooting! It's condition is very nice. Low round count. Trigger is pretty smooth. Four mags total with three sets of grips and the original box. I'm going to try it out later today.

It's a gem indeed! 275 fail free rounds have gone through it. 25 hollow points of assorted mfg's(no ftf, anything but tidy groups!) and 250 rds of 230gr hardball loaded by the previous owner. ZERO complaints! I let another good friend and the second one who got me in to shooting fire it. He's quite good and had a super tidy 8 shot collection of neatly cut hollow point carvings through the paper :D I felt euphoric as I watched the shots land so nicely!! Certainly not my last Colt purchase!

I like a few MINOR things better on the Taurus. The lighter hammer,larger grip safety and the multi hole trigger. I suppose I could put those pieces on this one. Might do that.
