I'm new to 1911 customizing. I've noticed in many parts catalogs, barrels are sold 'ramped' and 'unramped'. What is the difference?
Thanks for your help,

The original design of the 1911 was using the frame as the ramp for the round to enter the chamber. Now some barrel & frame makers have the ramp as part of the barrel, which means that the frame must be able to accept a ramped barrel.
