What about the Colt barrel sold by Brownells? Brownells part# 160-100-445?

I would assume it's current manufacture and would be the narrow hood, I'd call Brownells and ask.

Ok thanks OD*, I'll do that. It is listed as "Enhanced" which I assume to be the narrow hood. I wasn't sure so I thought I would ask. Thanks.

You're welcome Sir. The reason I suggested you call is, Colt has been making the "Enhanced" pistols since the late 1980s early 1990s, which had the original barrel dimensions. ;)

Well as an update. The Colt "Enhanced" barrel sold by Brownells does indeed have a narrow hood. I talked with their customer service and they said it is made according to the current dimensions.
