Torn my first of 2 1911s, after being under hurricane Ike water.
did the High Standard first which seemed to fair a lot better than my colt, probably do to the fact it's parked and not blued. Only tore it all the way down once and have had a few problems reassemling, but thanks to this site I'll get it done. They've been soaking in deisel since the storm and I've been busy working and gutting my ownhome so they've been on the backburner, with me trying to cleanup my hunting shootin irons. Lots of stuff to do after you get 44" of water in the house.

Mark, You being the last to report in, we were all concerned with your saftey in the aftermath of Ike. Having made it through without physical injury is the biggest, best and most important plus!

Recovering from the property damage must be a tremendous burden for you. Hopefully the recovery process will eventually end and you will be relieved of the burden. You have my best wishes!

Best of Luck!
Rich

Glad to hear you made it out and back ok. Have several friends in the area that are gutting their homes as well.

Good to hear you're ok. I've spent most of my vacation time the last three years helping to rebuild homes damaged by Katrina on the Miss. coast. I feel your pain and know a little bit about what you're going through.

God be with you.
