Four thumbs - that's me - in my zest to adjust my cz85 sights (Old Style), unscrewed the left side screw. When it fell into my hand it was accompanied by two very small ball bearings. I see on the sight there appears to be a spot for one of the ball bearings, though I think there should be a small spring there as well. Spring is gone. I assume the ball bearigngs ride on the outer edge of the screw providing the clicking sound as you adjust the sight.

Can anyone tell me the secret to re-instlalling the small ball bearing etc. or provide a site where I can see a schematic of the sight? Likely end up sending it off to a gunsmith - but thought I would try putting it back together myself. Not the cost to have a gunsmith do it but the time the gun will be away.

Sights are sights and shooters are shooters.

Yes, and forum rules are forum rules. I expect to see anything related to non-1911 in the non-1911 forum.

Please respect the rules.

Dumb rule! Gunsmithing is gunsmithing, reloading is reloading. I would expect to read a post on gunsmithing on that section like issues with various makes of sights including CZ sights, S&W sights etc all of which can be mounted on 1911's. In fact back in the 60's the most popular sight modifications were the addition of S&W revolver sights on the 1911's. This certainy is the wrong area to place this post IMHO. Your site, your rules, my goodbye!
