Match grade barrel upgrade question on your PT1911.

Have any of you guys thought about upgrading your PT1911 with an upgraded barrel and bushing? If so, have you done it? What has worked for you without needing to have a gunsmith get involved? What manufacturer of parts did you go with? What has it done for accuracy within your shots afterward?

I am having a little issue with accuracy on this 1911 and I am wondering if an upgraded barrel and bushing might help out.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Most factory barrels are good enough. I would start with a new bushing.

Although I have had numerous problems with my PT1911 and a major lack of customer service performance, accuracy is one thing I can't complain about. This gun shoots rings around any other stock pistol that I own. If you are having accuracy problems, I would start with Taurus customer service. Although my luck with them was poor, I would give them a chance first. They might solve your problem for free.
