On Charles Daly's web site all the articles state that M-5 also come in a ,40 S&W 17 rounds and 9mm 19 rounds configuration.

However these models are not listed on Charles Daly's web site, now my question is were these models ever made? Are they coming soon? Or were they discontinued?

If these were made where can I get one?

The M5's will be available in 40, 9mm and 45acp. The new models have not been delivered yet, but should be here by end of Oct.

Sizes will be Full (Government), Mid-size(Commander) and Compact (Ultra).

what about Hi-cap mags? I heard the hi-cap mags are real hard to come by, is this true? I want the M5 in .40 Commander size and the 17 round mags real real real bad. But if it only come with 10 round mags, then I really don't see the point of getting one at all.

Anyone know about the mag capacity? I've noticed alot of the .45 M5s on Bud's gun shop only having 10 round mags, why is that?

Sorry to inform everyone this, but we spoke to Bul today and everything is delayed (production bottleneck/roadblock) until early January; both M5's and new steel frame line.

Re: .45 mags: we have 13 round M5 mags for the Commander and Government guns. Ten rounders in circulation now should be for the Ultra-X compact.

I'm looking forward to seeing, hearing about and (if they are as good as we expect) purchasing one of the new manufacturer's pistols. Guess that just gives us more time to save my pennies. A 9 mm sounds nice. And 45 commander and... and... :lh:

Well, be sure to drop us a line when they start coming in. I'd like to have one, but would rather have a 9mm, although I wouldn't say no to a .45 if I came across one. Trouble is, even the most common ones are rarer than hens teeth.

If you are holding your breath waiting on CD to bring in a M5 in a caliber other than .45 then you might as well go ahead and dial 911. I have been waiting over 6 years for a .40 M5.

Are the M5s still coming in this month in .40 & 9mm???

I sent another email to the factory this morning and will post a reply as soon as I have it.

Sorry guys, but all I can do is repeat what the factory tells me. If they have to postpone for one reason or another then we look like jerks and we lose credibility with our fans. I was at the factory 2 weeks ago and saw them assembling .45 Ultra-X pistols but heard only excuses on the .40S&W.

Hopefully I will have better news tomorrow.

Any news on the .40 and 9mm M-5s? I would love a 9mm Commander.
