I've been waiting to see who the new vendor is. Rumors is it is BUL, but we all are waiting patiently.

And the winner is...Bul! :appld:
They have been wanting to build an all steel 1911 model for us for years and we finally agreed that now is the time for it to happen. Bul has the quality we are looking for and now they have all the C&C equipement needed to get it done for the right price in Israel.
And since we are already buying the polymer framed 1911 from them it seemed a perfect fit to let them do the steel version as well.
We're looking for some very good things to come out of this collaboration.

will they be the same as the previous EFS? If not can you give any details? How long till we see the finished product from BUL?

Bul was a miserable failure with Kimber and Wilson Combat. Best wishes to you.

Bul has some of the nicest and best performing .45's I have ever shot, and I have shot a bathtub full since 1960......my favorite pistol of my 21 1911/.45 models is a Bul Commander Hi-cap .45....

Tsk, tsk, tsk. Everything you need about the 1911 can be found in M1911.ORG.
If you go to our Home Page, and select "M1911 Models" from the menu at left, you will see a list of all manufacturers of 1911 pistols. Next to every manufacturer, there is a "A" in a red circle. Click on it and you will get the contact info for that company complete with web site info etc.
For your convenience, here is Bul's site: http://bultransmark.net/
If only they would make a 4.25" model (they have a 4" one).

That is the only web site I found. So they currently don't make single stack models. It would appear to be a new venture for them also.
