Are these the original or correct grips for this vintage? Seller was told that they weren't, but they look like some other 1960's I've seen.

What you have pictured appear to be replacement grips. Original grips on a Colt Commercial C suffix were plastic. SC

That's what I was thinking too. Also the MSH was checkered and park'd, so it looks like someone tinkered with it. I'll let it pass unless he gives me a crazy low price on it.

It's possible those grips could be original. Below is a picture of a 1968 Colt Gold Cup National Match with similar wood grips. It does sound like the mainspring housing is not correct.

The Gold Cups were the first to get the wood stocks with medallions, the '69 Government Model should have the plastic stocks.
