Hello there to you ole folks, I was just wondering, can the CMC powermags; both the 8 and 10 rounders work well with 1911s' that have magwells, coz' if my memory serves me right I thought I have read somewhere in this forum that this specific mags have problems about not sitting fully with magwelled guns. Pls. any response or knowledge about this question will be highly appreciated. I ask this coz' mainly back here where I live CMC powermags are a plenty and reasonably priced too. I am Planning to put an S&A magwell on my Norinco standard GI gun as part of my ongoing customization. Thanks a lot..!! :)

Mag's are made for use w/ mag' well set ups. But as with any thing in life, verify. Some mag's with plastic extended bottoms won't fully insert, CmC aren't among them. Mec-gar comes to mind as not always being compatible w/mag' wells. Don't do the movie slam when inserting mag's, as over insertion can cause a unbelievable lock up, as well as breaking your ejector possibly. Speed reloads can be accomplished w/o violent actions. Tap, rack, bang is for those who don't fully insert and lock in the mag's.
