I know you move a rear sight in the opposite direction you want POI but which way do you move a front sight if you want the POI to move right??

Let's make sure we're both talkin' apples and apples. If I'm following you correctly, you line your sights up on the center of the target (or the 6'oclock hold, whichever) and your bullet strikes to the left of your POA. Do I have this correct so far?

If so, you'll drift the front sight to the left to line things up.

It all gets kinda confusing, as you've got it backwards. To correct windage, you move the rear sight in the direction you wish to move the POI, and you move the front sight in the opposite direction, for elevation it's the same, to move POI up you raise the rear and lower the front.

LOG MAN has got it right, a good way to remember this is with the acroynyn, "FORS" it stands for, "front opposite - rear same", so if you are shooting to the left of the point of aim the rear sight would be moved in the the same left to correct... or the front sight would be moved the opposite to correct.

Hope this helps.

I learned(remember) from archery. The front sight follows the hole. FF- front follows. Back sight is opposite.

Log man is correct, you move the rear sight in the direction you wish to move the point of impact, and you move the front sight in the opposite direction.
