Im going to be getting a new trigger and thesti triggers look nice but plastic ???
ive never had a gun with a plastic trigger in it
so what do you guys think are they reliable say in a combat gun or a gun that is run hard or would i be better of going with a normal alum or steel trigger
i love the long sti trigger but plastic i dunno

The STI trigger is excellent. With stand hard running? Think competition guns ..... ah STI maybe? You'll like it.

The logman sure sounds right. Check out the guns that STI makes. I believe that there are a LOT of hard-used STIs out there.... course whether they are all using plastic triggers, I can't say, but the photos of matches I've seen indicates that many do.

I had installed the short STI black skeletonized trigger in my Stainless Loaded Springfield. Looking for the shortest trigger I could find I bought and installed the short solid Greider. Although it was listed at 2" and the STI was listed at 2.125 or so, it was no shorter than the STI and was no more comfortable. I reinstalled the STI. The yoke is lighter and the take up adjustment tabs are nice touches to make the fitting easy.

A great trigger. Someone else asked the same question a day or two ago.

I believe STI makes an aluminum trigger the same length as the short
nylon trigger they offer. You should also check out Fusion Firearms
online. They make nice looking Carbon Fiber triggers, of which I have heard good things.
Best of luck
