OK got the RIA back from Arnel and all is well except for what I think is an issue with my shooting style. I have fairly large meaty hands and didnt think this would be an issue but I seem to be having trouble getting the grip safety to work when shooting. Several times during the most recent session I found myself having to readjust my grip before I could make the gun go bang and the only thing I can figure is the grip safety .
The question then becomes this, is there any thing I can adjust on the gun to make this more reliable (I will NOT disengage the grip safety , not happening) The grip safety is a beaver tail which leads to the next question IF I decide to try a different grip safety how much fitting is required (approximately ? I know its a gun by gun type thing ) OR is it just me and i need to adjust my grip in some way for reliability ?
Thanks in advance guys I'm still new to the 1911 and hope i'm not to much of a pain
