I got one myself though in two tone. Very good shooter with no problem whatsoever. Everytime I pull the trigger it goes bang-bang. You will not regret buying this pistol.

That particular model is a truly improved version. The only thing I don't like is the crappy "novak" type sight. It is so short that I wouldn't dare think of putting it in my IWB holster (i may get operated for appendicitis). It is a keeper unless you wanted to personalise it some more and have it modified. I got myself modified to this:

valor 1, thanks a lot, pls. correct me if i am wrong, your modification to this particular gun are as follows:
1. mag release
2. hammer
Do not know about the sights if you had it changed already.. pls. reply..!! I am thinking of replacing the things you have mentioned as well when i acquire this particular gun on the coming gun show on July 14 at SM Megamall..!! One more thing, is the beavertail grip safety standard in spec, if i happen to like to change it, will a wilson or sti or kings will fit without adding or building more metal into it, co'z i happen to remember crossing path with a thread here saying that the installed grip safety on this gun is somewhat out of spec or bigger than what it should be? I believe he is trying to install a wilson beavertail but apparently disgusted coz' it wiggles a lot. If so, is the factory installed beavertail a keeper!

I think those pictures are the enhanced special models. the difference of the enhanced special from the enhanced police are...the enhanced police has the FLGR, extended slide stop and rubber grips (not the wrap around). you can see the enhanced police version in the norinco picture thread.
Norinco enhanced versions (special and police) are good shooters out of the box. i have mine close to 500 rounds without any single failure. i don't like the sights though.

Hi Wisptalker! These are the parts I changed:
-Ed Brown Hardcore Hammer
-Ed Brown Perfection Sear
-Chip McCormick trigger (just like the way it looked)
-Novak sights
-Ed Brown Mag release
-Ed Brown Memory Groove Beavertail
-Stock Norinco slide stop I swapped with a friend who wanted the extended slide stop which I hated
-Norinco wrap around grips which is very cheap
Sadly, the stock beavertail is out of spec. Even the "oversized" beavertails won't fit. My gunsmith had to build up the grip tang area. After I changed the beavertail with the Ed Brown, the hammer is also out of spec (too big to ride on the hollow area of the beavertail). Voila, I changed the hammer, sear and trigger and had it adjusted for a 4 lbs. trigger pull. Enjoy the gunshow.

Thanks Valor1, If you wouldn't mind, can you pls. be so kind as to tell me who your gunsmith is, I'll bet he is a good one for you to trust him. I happen to know that it is easy to file away metal parts but to build one is another matter. If you woul like to keep your gunsmiths name a secret, you may be able to pm me.. I would appreciate that a ton..!!

Also have just aquired an Enhanced Norc. Came out of the box w wraparound grips, 10 rd mag, beaver and extended ambi safety. Due to the heavy trigger pull, though, it is hard to shoot well. Probably good for 2 1/2 " at 25 meters right now. Must do: trigger job; change barrel bushing; possibly build up lugs for better fit at breech end. It is not happy with anything but hardball right now, only 150 rounds since monday yet. Will give it a few hundred and some ramp polish, then we'll see about TC copper plated and HP.

valor1,
Are you referring to the enhanced model?
I have the standard model. If I were intending to replace the grip safety, hammer, sear, and trigger, would I run across the same problem as what you had with the tang?

hi mirko128!
the standard model is similar to the mil-spec type pistols, meaning the grip tang will have to be "cut" to accept most oversized beavertails. It will also accept drop-in beavetails from Wilson, etc.
yes. the out of spec beavertail is found only on the enhanced norincos including the police model.
