Not sure what to get first. Been looking at the series 70 for sometime and I dont think this is a limited run of guns. Then the Bright stainless 38 caught my eye, is this a limited run? Hard to decide what to get first and I do wish the pocket book would let me get both at once

Get both... one now and the other later. :)
Colt's bright polished stainless .38 Super is a beautiful pistol... and while I don't believe it to be a limited run, I can't imagine Colt makes many of those.
It will cost a tad more than the Series 70 Custom Replica, which also is a regular catalog item.

I bought the regular ss Colt .38Super followed by a bright ss Para with ramped barrel. Tis a delight caliber to shoot and for the handloader there's all kinds of combinations that will give good results. As Hunter wrote in another post, the Super .38 is very fast, or in other words, very, very fast. :D

I would get both. I have the bright stainless super 38 and 2 Gunsite Pistols. Although it is not the series 70 you mention, it is a series 70 pistol and I like both. I love the bling bling of the bright stainless and the Gunsites are just really good pistols.
Both of the pistols you mention are currently produced.

Both the Series 70 Reissue and the bright stainless Super .38 are custom shop pistols, but they are not limited runs. Buy whichever one you want more first, and I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

You said in your post....
Not sure what to get first.
Hard to decide what to get first
So I assume you are planning to get both.....
Then does it matter which one you get first?
They have been both available all of the time for several years.

If you handload, go with the .38 Super, if not, go with the Series 70.
Will admit that I do handload and went with the .45 though (hey, practice as I say, not as I do :) ).
It's not like you are facing bad choices here. My true wish was that the BSS was a standard finish on the Series 70. Sure, you can "make it so" but for me, the "pimp-o-liciousness" of the BSS is one I like. Foolishly sold a BSS Gold Cup to a buddy of mine couple of years ago, and he lost it in a divorce fight (super bummer). That one got sold to a dealer by the ex wife, a dealer he knew, and he was bummed at every gunshow as he walked past "his" pistol, at 3 times the price he paid. I still think those two don't speak (friend and the dealer) to this day. Nope, dealer would not budge on price asked, not even when he understood the story. Imo, he lost a lot of sales from both my friend, and me from that point on. But I have digressed...
That .38 Super is on my list for sometime next year, assumming the Commies don't rule here or the Earth stops spinning or something.
Good Luck with your choices. There are NO bad ones in this case imo.
