and it is absolutely visually perfect in every detail. Incredibly beautiful pistol...if only in my eyes. Even came in a Colt blue custom gunshop box, protected in the factory labeled white outside box. $760 plus tax at a Texas gun show. I think I will keep in NIB for awhile...as long as I can stand it.

Duty weapon (SW1911PD 5") is in security holster; Steel Commander has fired several hundered rounds. NIB Series 70...

1911Tex,

Congratulations on purchasing what I consider to be one of the finest Government Model Colts on the planet.

However, as you may gather from a previous post, we pretty much demand photographs of new weapons here. :)

Welcome to the active side of the forum, and we look forward to those pics.

Resistance is futile! You have to shoot it and how about some pics?

1911Tex, That's one nice Colt and the rest are very pretty pictures as well! Thanks for editing your post to add them - I certainly enjoy viewing them as they help me feed the 1911 habit a little bit without actually buying another one...at least I think it does. Welcome!

What happened to the Colt medallions? Did Colt stopped putting them in those grips?!?! Good Lord!

Hunter, quick, turn around and go back to the factory. Someone should tell those people that the Colt gold medallions should be put back on those grips. :D :) :p

They dont use them on the repro's. :( I agree that would be a great addition. Did Hunter leave yet? ;)
