Hello,
I am in need of facts and advice from owners past and present of the Gold Cup National Match Enhanced Version in .45 ACP. Did or does your pistol have an extended ejector. I'm being told that mine which I owned for 12 years and sent in for fixing of a loose extractor did not have one and that Colt's of the above model Never had extended ejectors except for .38 and .9mm. I can really use your help. And as many replies as possible, maybe even pictures to prove my point.

I am not near a camera now, but I have never seen the .45ACP GCNM (enhanced or not) with an extended ejector. If yours had one was it purchased new or used?

Colt did not put extended ejectors on 45ACP GCNM.
If you take a look at the Gold Cup schematic, at Brownells.com factory parts, only one ejector is shown.

Hello,
I purchased it new in approx. 1996. I doubt it matters but it was a Bright Stainless finish. Thanks for your response.

Is it the polished stainless that causes you to call it "enhanced", because to me it means having front slanted serrations, the high cut grip, and ambi safeties.. and sometimes a bevel cut to the bottom of the slide.

I've never seen ANY .45 acp Colt model that had a factory extended ejector, and none of my Gold Cups have that, although I did put one into my GC Trophy.

Hello Hill,
My model's features were an undercut trigger, elongated commander style hammer, Colt's wide grip safety and milling cuts on the front side of the grip below the trigger, it just also happened to be Bright Stainless. Also black rubber wrap around grips with colt medallion. It did not have ambidextrous safety.

I believe it should have come with a standard non-extended ejector. I can't recall seeing any GCNM in 45 that diffeered from that.
