I purchased a blued Colt 1918 reissue a while back. The pistol shoots great, which is what I wanted vs. buying a 3K original and placing it in the safe.

My only issues with it were:

A. The grips [are] sad.
B. I am going to get a trigger action job done (creep).

Anyways, I have been looking for a nice set of grips that were not 100.00+.
The ones that came with it literally have sawdust between the stippling.
Also, I was not fond of the color (personal preferance).

So today, I got a set of Esmeralda's for my SF. Took those off the SF and put them on the Colt - now the 1918 is almost complete.
