Thought I'd share this new twist on a menuki idea I had made.

Yea you would notice that. This is a 1st of Numbered Zero too. I suppose I should have requested Federal specifically.

Not as bad as a Seecamp I had my name ingraved on the back strap. I ASSumed it was going to be donevertically. Tadah..he crammed it horozontally overlapping the words. DOH

Got to get every detail down when requesting stuff or it'll bite ya.

The knife looks nice, but I don't get this other stuff. What's menuke? And the purple beady stuff of the handle? And the point of the cartridge end?

The purple beady stuff is Ray Skin AKA Manta Ray / Sting Ray skin. Its skin is hard & bumpy. This one is dyed purple thats all. The skin is a traditional type of material you may see on a samurai sword.

A Menuki is a decorative item seen on a samurai sword. They were a status thing and could be silver, gold, whatever to- "Pimp my sword" sorta idea. It could be a dragon, tiger or something of that sort normally. The .45 case here is the Menuki instead of a dragon. as shown here

Thank you Sheriff.

Thought of a 20mm shell cut off may fit in a sword handle, but this was a better cost effective idea.

On the other hand, here is a modern twist on a traditional menuki.

It looks like it's inside the grip and wouldn't stick out of it. I know they make plenty that are just to look at, but that seems like you could carry it around and use it without much of a problem.
