Has anyone used 45gunparts.com recently? I placed an order with them almost one month ago, and haven't recieved so much as a payment confirmation. As far as I could tell, they don't offer a phone # or list an email address on their website. The only source of communication they do offer, however, is a fax #. Should I be concerned? Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? Thanks.

Due to overwhelming response, we are taking up to 30 days to fulfill orders. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The best way to inquire about orders is by fax at 310-439-1911.

Thank you for your patience. ~ 45GunParts.com

I saw the notice on their site...I was just hoping someone could vouch for their credibility.

This has happened again in the past. The member who had brought it to my attention at that time, was eventually send his ordered parts. The owners, at that time, said they had a problem with their server, which caused the delay of orders. But I haven't heard about them for a long time, so I am not sure what's going on this time.

Thanks. I sent them a fax today...so we'll see what turns up. I don't necessarily mind the wait, but I am troubled by their lack of "direct communication" with thier customers.

It's been a couple days. Have you heard back from them yet?

John, depending on the outcome of this issue, this thread should be moved to either the "Thumbs Up" or "Thumbs Down" area.

I am waiting to hear of the outcome. And yes, it will have to be moved to one of those two places, eventually.

Per their request, I have attempted to contact 45gunparts.com twice via fax, providing them every bit of contact info I have. Sadly, and to their great discredit, I have heard nothing from them. This afternoon, feeling like a jerk nonetheless, I posted a formal complaint about them to PayPal, their payment service provider. What is the most irksome aspect of this situation it that it was easily avoidable. I needed from them was some sort of confirmation that my order and money were in their hands - and that they were doing their darndest to fulfill their obligations to me. If they are having difficulty fulfilling orders, why not inform their customers directly? In doing this, I think that they would discover that most gun owners, especially among the subscribers of this site, to be very understanding. Would you not agree? Well, as a new member, I hate that my first few posts are destined for the "bitchin' bin," but I have to start somewhere. I'll keep you posted.

The Drama (less previous obscenities) Continues!

Scientific term? ROFLMAO! Excellent choice of words.

Well, I guess we know where this thread will end up. Sorry you've had such bad luck with this vendor. Hopefully others will learn from your unfortunate adventure.

I just checked their site and they now have an e-mail link posted. It says that it is functional as of 5/10/50. You might want to try that if you're still waiting...

Has anyone contacted the Better Business Bureau in their town to inquire about their record? Or if they even have a record?

I have ordered from then in June and got my order(springs and some small parts, etc) in July,2005 ( took about 25 days total ).
Unfortunately they don't respond to neither e-mail nor fax requests.
My order total was about $25 with shipping. So I wasn't worried much.
Parts were good. However I won't be ordering anything from them in the future due
to the lack of communication and customer support.

I ordered a replacement barrel and it was so undersized a loaded factory round would not drop into the chamber. The bullet hit the lands before the case mouth. It took nearly a month to get a refund after I returned it. I slugged the barrel and measured it well under specs. I was told when it was returned that they checked it and it was within specs. That's when the refund odyssey began.

I received a reply from 45GunParts.Com; I placed and order on December 17th for 250.00. I had not heard from them since today, they are shipping out my order today and have thrown in some free magazines and upgrades to some products. I was glad to hear from them, as I thought I was out the 250.00.

When talking reloading equipment, I always say DILLON. As far as parts are concerned BROWNELLS is the only way to go. I can't believe the problems I hear about parts and service. Brownells does not sell cheap parts but their products are well worth what you pay for them, service is fast (for me 2 days via Priority Mail), and they stand behind their products. The only time I go to another source is when they don't have the part.
