This just arrived, suppose to be bone stock however the hammer & grip safety I question? I have a SS one like it but the hammer & safety on that are similar to the GCT SS model.
If anyone can give me the straight scoop it would be here I would find it ;)
TIA

I am not familiar with this model, but in the 1991 series the blued Commander model hs the same hammer and grip safety as in this photo, but the SS Commander has the ugly ducktail grip safety and "combat" hammer. This series may follow the same pattern.

I have a Combat Elite from the early '90s with the same grips, hammer, and grip safety.

I would say "No". Combat Targets, as you probably know, were built in '97 on enhanced frames.
Your hammer and GS have been changed out. Doesn't matter between matte blue or the matte stainless....... It should have the duckbill GS and the oval commander hammer.
My stainless one like yours......over lubed :o

Thanks for the replies, my stainless is exactly as the one you have pictured also the same hammer & GS as my NIB GCT SS model, hence I questioned the odd GS & Com hammer being swapped out on this matte model.
Now to find a matte duckbill Grip Safety

You might want to call Colt before you take any parts off, that pistol could be a limited run for one of the bigger distributors. What is the stock number?

Curious....you think the Combat Target is a limited run? Is there something that makes you think so?
Oh wait, you said "that pistol"......I might be running slow again.....

Right, like the M1991A1s were not limited runs, but the M1991A1s with the model number 01991Z were.

No stock number on the blue box, its the older smaller type case that probably had a sleeve with the info, ser# CT0049xE
Probably call Colt & see what they have to offer in info for the hammer & GS

Another example of Colts willingness to help a customer, even with an eleven year old pistol..... Good news!
