its marked on the left side:
patented apr. 20, 1897 sept. 9, 1902 (rampant colt) colt's pt. f.a.mfg. co
dec. 19,1905. feb. 14,1911. aug. 19,1913 (rampant colt)hartfod, ct. usa

on the top there is some sort of crest, apears to be the argitine crest
and the barrel is marked with the serial number

This appears to be one of 400 commercial Colt 1911 pattern Government Models sold to Argentina in 1919.

It has had 1911A1 arched mainspring housing, short trigger, and plastic grips installed.

If I had it, I would try to round up correct parts but would not have it restored to a fake new appearance.

i baught a long trigger with it and ive got a homemade flat main spring housing, now i just need grips.

do you think a colt factory letter would be worth it? is there any other info on this 1919 shipment?
