I ordered an EGW Oversized Firing Pin Block (for series 80), to radius myself. When I get it in the mail, I notice the part that strikes the hammer isnt as wide as the original. Is this still usable? I have the new one on top of the original.

It should still work. Some firing pin stops are relieved on the left side for wider .38 Super/9mm ejectors, and some are relieved on the right for the Series 80 firing pin block, and yours seems to be relieved for both.

Since EGW only makes one series 80 firing pin stop the clearance is for a 38 super/9mm as well as 45ACP, for that reason I would use a series 70 stop and file my own clearance notch for the Series 80 .

The stop will work OK - it does weight the contact to the right side of the hammer.

What I don't like about their 80 series stop in a .45 gun is the unsightly gap that the too wide cut leaves.

The answer is to use 70 series fps as the Log man suggests, and so some more work.
