Loose Rear Site

The rear sight on my Wilson is loose in the dovetail. How do I "restake" it? I am new to trying to work on my own guns. I have the tools now, I just need to learn how to use them and understand the lingo...Any help appreciated.

Take a hammer and center or pin punch and slightly dimple the bottom of the dovetail until the desired tension is achieved. Usually does not need much.

Some sights have a set screw to fix them in place. I would have thought that a Wilson would have one. If it doesn't, I'd call Wilson and ask them to take care of it.

Tom's got it. Just raise some metal at the bottom of the dovetail.

.............and add a drop of LOCTITE, works every time.
