Hi Tuner, I've been reading the posts about SA Ejectors being glued in with loc tight. I have a SA Mil Spec that I bought in the early 80s. Some times an empty case would hang up between the front of the ejection port and the slide trying to get out. I installed an extended ejector and ever since it kicks the emptys out like they have the plauge. There was the normal pin holding the ejector in place, that I drove out with a punch, with no glue.
I reciently bought another SA. It does the same thing. The new SA has the pin that holds the ejector inplace. So, the question is even though the pin is there, does SA still glue the ejector, pin, etc. in place and why???????.

My SA ejector is pinned also.I think they might add glue to tighten the ejector in the frame.Just my opinion.

what I understand also,
the glue is to keep the pin from backing out

Thanks for the replies, I've got another ejector ordered. Just hope the ejector isn't glued in too. Never encountered glue before.

Tuner had told me at one time to take a heat gun, or a hair dryer if you dont have the heat gun, and heat up the frame at the pin and it should loosen the loctite/glue in the pin and make it easier to knock out

I've had a few SA's on the bench and they are either glued or pinned, I've not seen any where both was done...........but like I said, I've only seen a few.
