So after a week of cooling my heels waiting to take the GSR on a test drive, today I put 150 problem-free rounds downrange, with nary a hiccup. I credit the responses requesting advice of prepping by thoroughly cleaning and lubing the you-know-what out of the gun. All ammo (Winchester 230 gr fmj, Blazer 230 gr fmj) went through the stock 2 mags. So much for mag reliability issues (and I have no clue who made these mags). Tight groups, slightly to left-of-center. My only concern is that while the mags performed magnificently, they jiggled a little when seated, but this seems to be of little consequence. I will strip, clean, lube, repeat next weekend. I will now try my other mags and see how they perform. I am happy, could have asked nothing more...I am looking forward to shooting another couple hundred rounds next weekend. This is a solid, so far reliable gun.

Great report.
As far as mags in my SIG I have found, NHC, Wilson, and VTs all work well so far. :o

I use the two stock mags and Wilson 47D's in mine and they run fine IF the idiot driving the gun remembers to seat them well. Glad it went well. They are fine pistols.

I will try out my other mags...WR 47D, Shooting Star, a couple others. In other news, I dissassembled to clean and could not get the slide off (yes, I did take out the slide stop...). I got the slide stop off, bushing, etc., but the slide would only move about 1/4" fore or aft. After some brute force, got the slide back to basically slide lock, and cleaned and lubed as-is. I got her reassembled. Any ideas on the slide issue?

When I put the full sized mag in my C3 first time, it would lock the slide after every shot. Came to battery when I released the slide, but still locked the next time. Simple solution: smack it into the ready position. Seems both SIGS require a solid hit to seat properly. Like you said, not the mag's fault and easy to solve the 'problem.'

Yes, and it bites me in the kiester on at least one stage in every match.
Eventually, I'll remember.
