Hello all, just learning about the forum and have already learned a lot by reading in all the sections.

Just picked up this 1911A1 - I though I had gotten a Remington Rand but once home and researching I found out it was a Colt arsenol rebuild with a RR slide. It is a 1943 I have sorted from the SN and has a SA and arsenol wheel marks as well as a P on the top of the slide and on the trigger guard. Also GHD stamped right behind the trigger.

I have attached the best photos I can get to show all the marks.

My question, should I look for a 1943 Colt slide? Will it make any difference in value? I am big on "correct" and although I know this is the way it was reissued from rework I would like to see it all with Colt parts if possible.

Thoughts? I know there will be a few. Thanks for anything anyone can offer in ideas. I paid $850.00 FYI
