Capt. Harold Winslow M1911s

There was a very small shipment of 9 M1911s shipped to Capt. Harold Winslow March 16, 1923 . Some have made the assumption that these were somehow related to the USMC operations down in Nicaragua. The serial numbers of the 9 M1911s have been noted in both Meadows and Goddard.

Can anybody shed some real light on this .... ??
