Besides just show and tell, could you guys answer me 2 questions.

What do you think its value is?
What percent finish would you say it has?

And here she is... Links to full size images are underneath each picture

*** The loss of finish looks worse than it is in this picture because of light hitting the tip, look at the 2nd image to see ***

Looks like the barrel and grips are not original. If the magazine is a correct WWI contract or Colt two-tone..... probably $1000.- to maybe $1200.- IMO

The grips on my 1913 look just like that, only a bit more worn.

Very nice find and a beautiful old gun. bgiven is probably right-on regarding the price. I went to the Ft. Worth gun show yesterday and saw one not nearly as nice as yours marked at $2400. But it is not uncommon for some guys asking twice what the piece is worth on the market. You see some of the same guns for sale year after year without selling. Guess they are waiting for that "one customer." Congratulations on a nice find.

I have one very similar, but with only a patina for finish. The hammer, sear and spring plug are later replacements. It's worth a solid $800.Yours is a little nicer, and I too think Bgiven's $1200.00 is spot on.
