View Full Version : What is my 1911 worth?

Hello
I have a Colt M1911A1 U.S. ARMY serial # 8529XX . From everything I have read it is all original and every thing matches even the mag. It was a bring back from WW11. If someone knew what questions to ask I could answer, to help get a vaule.

There's a section in the FAQ section about uploading photos. I use Photobucket for hosting the pictures.

Because of the rust spots it is worth about $1,400.
I would not restore it. It looks fine the way it is.

In my part of the country about $1700 to $1850. IMO $1400 is a little low.... and I'd jump on every one at that.

That will help with my wife! I picked it up a couple of weeks ago from a local gun shop a older woman was trading it in. Got it for $554.00 plus tax.

just a matter of luck. few years ago picked up a colt commercial, 1937, for $130.................guy wants to buy it back (for same price) if I ever sell it.??
