Who made my frame?

I have a Norinco 1911 well the slide is a norinco.

The frame has the initials S A M and Rp. on the slide release side.

It also says Mdsto, CA and PAC on the other side but thats it.

Who made my frame?

S.A.M. is Shooters Arms Manufacturing, in the Phillippines. I'll take a wild guess that you have a SAM receiver that was imported through some company in Modesto, CA.

I don't have any problems with my 1911 but its good to know who made it.
