Found these in the past weeks.
Pre-80 series combat commander and
a CCO with matching s.n. box and documents.
Seems to be in good shape.
I have been reading here and other forums about
colt's so I have decided what to look for. Now what
I need to get is a new 70 series ss government and
my quest is complete.
I think I might change the plastic trigger on the CCO.
I also bought two new wilson combat magazines, thin base.
I will be going to the range soon.
Maybe later I'll have some custom work done on both.
Here are some pictures so that way you won't have to send
me the sarge to chew me out.

Beautiful little CCO... like that finish... While my first owned 1911 platform wasn't a Colt's, my first handled one was: an old Government Mark IV, Series 70, blued, which, having field stripped and reassembled it because its owner had left it real dirty, and I couldn't stand it, without a manual... caused me to begin a love affair with this platform that will NEVER die!
Of my 7, four are Colts, including our dream, an original M1911 from WWI in excellent shape. I have three moderns, the O1991 Series 80 in Government, the O1911 WWI Repro, and a Government Series 80 in Super 38 and stainless steel... while I LOVE .45 ACP, from my old Ruger P90, my first pistol chambered in this excellent defensive round, that Super 38 IS my highway gun... and my Colts have been 100%. ALL of them, including First Lady, my M1911 from 1918. A 1911 in .45 is all I ever carry on my hip anymore, although I have three other excellent handguns.
Welcome, sir, to our fraternity, which includes a number of fine female members who love this platform. And to the Colt club, as well. Excellent pistol, sir. John Moses Browning, in my humble opinion, got it right in 1905, 1910, and 1911; and Colt's was his original manufacturer. Five years ago, I'd never have dreamed I'd own a Colt; while I love my other two brands and they are reliable, functional firearms, I'm also thankful and humbled that I now own FOUR Colts. You done good, sir.

Way to join up, those are a couple of righteous pistols!!! I am jealous of that CCO. I noticed the Puerto Rico flag, are you located there?

Welcome and great first post! Those are a fine pair of Colt's!!!! The CCO is getting hard to find, especially in that condition and with box and paper.
Good luck on the search for the S70 GM.

Thank you all for your great comments.
MCMIX, I'm located in Orlando Florida. Born in New Jersey.
My parents were from the island and I lived there for sometime.
I forgot to mention that I also bought a couple of wolf spring packs
to replace as necessary.
I will give range reports as soon as I test these jewles of pistols.

god those are gorgeous guns.. seriously..
being a new colt member.. i cant wait for my next purchase.. though it will likely be a RIA so i can cut my teeth on modding a cheaper model 1911 before i even think about doing anything to my colt.
i'm a DIY kinda guy, and hate the thought of sending my gun to anyone to do anything to it.

Welcome to the forum! Yes, you are a member now. Those two pistols are a very good start. I see you like stainless pistols, don't forget about a blue one someday. The latest WW1 repro is a neat pistol you just might fall for if you handle it.

daveohno,
I like blue pistols too. I have other 1911's in blue & black.
For example one of them is SA full rail TRP, like that one a lot.
I am very happy with these colts specially the super hard to find CCO.
Joni and others,
Thanks for the welcome.
Welcome,you've done a fine job.Enjoy!!!!
